Update: The Department of Livestock is currently working on the replacement of the Brands Enforcement programs in full, to be integrated into the ServiceNow platform. This is a large step in the process of getting the applications to communicate within the department. Legacy applications will be upgraded or replaced and the data made available for reporting across the department. Business processes are being identified and a rough order of magnitude set for automation.

Update: The Department of Livestock has made a significant investment into the development of a Landmark brands enforcement program. Progress has been made to consolidate the Meat inspection program into the existing Animal Health program and incorporate the milk and egg programs into the Veterinary Diagnostic Lab program.

Updating and implementing a solution for data-driven business intelligence & analysis
Update: The Department of Livestock has been working with the State of Montana Data Officer to implement the Snowflake Platform. Once in place, Snowflake will provide the ability to analyze the data from every information system within the Department of Livestock in one location. This robust tool will improve the ability for the department to make decisions based on current data.
